Qwiki is seeking New Media Interns to optimize the Qwiki Creator

About Qwiki:

Qwiki is a New York City-based technology company pioneering an easy-to-create new media format that combines the visual appeal of a video with the interactivity of the web. The company recently launched a content creation partnership with ABC News and a distribution partnership with Bing, as covered by several major
media outlets.

Qwiki was founded by serial entrepreneur, Doug Imbruce, and won TechCrunch Disrupt in September 2010. The Company launched its website (www.qwiki.com) in January 2011 and its iPad App in April 2011, which was named by Apple as the top Reference App of 2011 and has over 1 million downloads. Qwiki has raised approximately $10.5 million in funding from a number of high profile investors, including the founders of Facebook, Groupon and YouTube.

About the Position:

Qwiki recently launched the Qwiki Creator in partnership with ABC News. The Qwiki Creator allows anyone to quickly and easily create interactive, rich-media content for the first time. As New Media Intern, your primary responsibility will be to assist with the Qwiki Creator quality assurance process.

In addition, you will:
• Create and edit Qwikis for major media companies, celebrities, personalities,
professional bloggers, and publishers
• Research relevant bloggers and social media influencers
• Assist with administrative duties

Requirements:

• Pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Strong academic performance
• Experience with digital editing and/or producing
• Proficient in Final Cut Pro, iMovie, and/or QuickTime
• Acute eye for aesthetics
• Believes in Qwiki’s vision of creating a new media format
• Film school experience preferred
• Minimum of 15 hours per week requested
